So far, no one has been held responsible for NATO’s war crimes in Serbia in 1999, the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik wrote on Twitter on March 24.
The USA used depleted uranium in its bombing of Serbia. In addition to 2.5 thousand deaths and $100 billion worth of damage, the bombing led to uranium contamination of the area, the effects of which continue to be monitored by doctors. March 24 marks the anniversary of the bombings.
NATO also used depleted uranium in bombings in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1995, killing more than 150 civilians.
As Dodik stressed, despite the proven use of depleted uranium, no one has been held responsible for NATO’s crimes in Serbia.
A day earlier, Dodik said that the use of depleted uranium resulted in the birth of children with leukemia and other cancerous diseases.
