Russian doctors continue to provide medical aid to citizens of Syria in the mobile hospital of the Russian Ministry of Health, Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov, deputy head of the Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria, said at a briefing on March 21.
The mobile hospital was deployed with the help of servicemen of the Russian grouping of troops in the Syrian Arab Republic. Its purpose was to provide medical support for victims of the massive earthquake, which caused hundreds and thousands of casualties.
“During the day, 253 people received help, a total of 2,233 people since the start of work,” Gurinov gave specific figures to reporters.
At the briefing, the Rear Admiral also said that so far two humanitarian actions have already been carried out. They were organized in the cities of Latakia and Aleppo, whose population was provided with food and basic necessities.
