Twenty Ukrainian servicemen are being trained to use the Samp-T SAM system at a base near Rome, the Il Fatto Quotidiano newspaper reported on March 19.
Earlier Italy had agreed with France to supply the SAM system to the Kiev regime.
According to the information provided, the SAM should be transferred to Ukraine by the summer.
The Italian Defense Ministry earlier did not confirm or even denied the information about the training of Ukrainian servicemen in the republic.
But, according to the newspaper, the head of the military department Guido Crosetto announced that Italy has offered a list of courses.
“If Italian materials are supplied, it is necessary to prepare people to use them,” the newspaper quoted Crosetto as saying.
