Kurginyan urges elite to realize that Russia will not survive if it loses war

11.03.2023, Aleksandrovskoye, Russia.

The fascist project in Ukraine is still just unfolding, everything must be done for Russia to win, because the country will not survive losing this war, Sergey Kurginyan, a philosopher, political analyst and leader of the Essence of Time movement, said in his closing speech at the presentation of his collective monograph “Ukrainism” on March 4.

I want to say that the troubles have just begun. They are not over. <…> The time has come when everything is very simple: we will die if we lose,” said the political scientist.

The ongoing processes in Russia related to the conflict in Ukraine are multidirectional, so ideological work with the population and in the armed forces alone is not enough to win, the analyst stressed.

It is necessary to work with society, the army and anyone else… But it is also necessary to work with the elite,” Kurginyan stressed.

According to him, the current state system should operate as is. But Russia as it is cannot stand alone against the West united against it. Therefore, elements of the new army, new industry, new machine-tool industry, new military-industrial complex, new education must be built next to the existing system, and the quality of the existing consumer society must be gradually changed.

And for that to happen, the elite needs to become aware of the need for serious changes. According to Kurginyan, they are still certain that post-Soviet Russia will be able to meet the challenges without changing anything essential in the life of the country.

On March 4, Moscow hosted the presentation of the first two volumes of the monograph “Ukrainism,” which deals with the creation of an artificial Ukrainian identity and the specifics of how it works against Russia.

The second edition of the monograph of the same name, considerably expanded and revised, was prepared by the team of authors of the Aleksandrovskoye Commune under the leadership of Sergey Kurginyan.
