The Kiev regime is preparing an armed provocation against Transnistria with the participation of units of the Ukrainian armed units together with the Azov nationalists (organization banned in Russia), the Russian Defense Ministry wrote on February 23 on its Telegram channel.
“According to available information, the Kiev regime is preparing an armed provocation against the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic in the near future,” the statement reads.
The pretext for the invasion of Transnistria could be Kiev’s staging of an attack by the Russian Armed Forces, which would allegedly be carried out from the territory of Transnistria.
The ministry specified that for this provocation, saboteurs could be disguised in the uniform of Russian servicemen. The Defense Ministry also reported that it monitors the situation on the Ukrainian border with Transnistria and is on high alert for any provocative actions of the enemy.
