Russian Armed Forces personnel launched an artillery strike on a Ukrainian armed units’ ammunition depot in Kherson, near Antonovka, killing 15 Ukrainian militants, RIA Novosti reported on February 14, citing a source.
The agency quoted the source as saying, “Yesterday an artillery fire destroyed a munitions depot near Antonovka, 4 units of vehicles were destroyed, casualties were 15 dead Ukrainian fighters, 12 wounded.”
The Kherson region became part of Russia as a result of the referendum. Kiev did not recognize the legitimacy of this referendum and continued shelling the region. The Russian Armed Forces control 75% of the territory of Kherson region, but not the regional capital Kherson.
