Claims that the West has not crossed all the red lines in Ukraine only inflames it, according to reports from the war theater published in the Essence of Time newspaper.
The newspaper cites the statements of First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Dmitry Polyansky. He noted that Moscow sends signals to the West about a lot of crossed red lines.
“But perhaps the reddest of them have not yet been crossed,” the diplomat said. He urged the West to calculate all possibilities of escalation and not to forget that Russia has nuclear weapons.
Polyansky stressed that transferring large quantities of weapons to Ukraine would not radically change the conflict.
“Don’t our high-ranking elitists understand that such rhetoric simply provokes the West to increase pressure? And no statements about Russia having nuclear weapons can change anything here. Just look at the dynamics of Western involvement in the conflict in Ukraine over the past 11 months since the start of the special operation,” reads the editorial in the Essence of Time newspaper.
