Russia today is seriously worried about the ongoing events, said the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan at the organization’s conference on January 14.
According to Kurginyan, this anxiety, which becomes hard to tolerate, sometimes addresses something absolutely specific, e.g. certain mistakes in the special military operation or certain grimaces of the Russian social and political life, or something general like the lack of understanding of what is happening.
“Man always needs to understand in what kind of a world he lives and will live. In other words, what kind of a social, economic, cultural etc. environment he has.
Should this environment be changed or adapted to? If it should be changed, then how? If it should be adapted to (this is how we call effective adjusting oneself to the environment), then how should we adapt?” Kurginyan wonders.
The philosopher explained that these questions always trouble Man’s mind, and they demand answers. However, when uncertainty dramatically grows, and this is exactly the kind of growth we can see now, more questions arise, and often no answers can be found.
“We are on the edge of a situation when the gap between the number and acuity of the questions and the quality of the answers given can result in a great trouble… Because when Man totally lacks understanding of his environment he becomes anxious in a special manner; this is a poorly tolerated anxiety, which is very traumatic to his mind.
If, in addition, this environment is no longer looks safe, this intolerance can almost instantly escalate to excesses of any destructive power,” Kurginyan told, adding that, after a critical mass is reached, the current state of the public conscience can transform into a very undesired destruction.
The Russian society understands that there is something much more troubling behind these details. Specifically, that the special military operation has turned out to be incompatible with the former environment, which a Russian citizen used to find, first, relatively known, and second, relatively safe.
The point is that now people have their loved ones dying in the war and enemy’s drones with explosives falling on their heads.
