The EU sanctions policy, support for Ukraine and blowing-up of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines can be seen as means to destroy Western nations and enrich the United States, German journalists Friedhelm Klinkhammer und Volker Bräutigam wrote on the online platform Apolut on January 6.
The journalists argue that the blowing-up of gas pipelines is an act of state terrorism. Almost 10 billion euros invested in Nord Stream 2 were destroyed in one fell swoop. Both Russia and Germany suffered from this actions. As experience has shown, in the end the taxpayers had to pay all the costs.
Meanwhile, the German government acted as if Germany had to acquiesce to what happened, the attack on the gas pipelines was not even properly investigated. As the country’s leadership explained, the details remain unpublished in the “interest of secrecy and the welfare of the state.”
It was explained to the population that it did not matter at all what happened to Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2. It does not matter what caused the gas leaks, whether the attacks were carried out or who was behind them, because gas has never been delivered via one pipe and has not been delivered via the other for weeks.
As for Ukraine, the German government and the German media serve the interests of Washington on this issue. Underneath the talk about the unfortunate Ukrainians and the violation of international law lies the true goal pursued by the Western elite.
Klinkhammer und Bräutigam argue that this goal is the destruction of Russian statehood for the sake of unimpeded access to vast resources.
“Our rulers are not concerned about ‘freedom and democracy’ in Ukraine, but about subjugating their competitor – Russia, seizing its resources, and using its territory as a springboard against the People’s Republic of China,” the journalists emphasize.
