Fighters of Western special forces units arrived in Ukraine under the guise of mercenaries, a lieutenant colonel of the DPR People’s Militia, MP Andrey Bayevsky said, TASS reported on January 5.
Bayevsky said that most of the special units arriving in Ukraine had resigned from their previous place of service. At the same time, he noted that there is a very short time interval between arrival and going on a mission, two months at the most.
“During this time, it is impossible to prepare and coordinate the unit on the level the group should have for a subversive or reconnaissance mission. So they come with well-coordinated groups, trained people who specialize in such operations,” the officer explained.
