Sevastopol sent 25 thousand New Year gifts to children in Melitopol, TASS reported on December 28.
The gifts will be distributed among children living in the city and its suburbs. The head of Melitopol district Andrey Siguta thanked the authorities of Sevastopol for the assistance.
“Today we have a joyful event – we are accepting presents sent to our children from Sevastopol – we will feel the warmth of our brotherly city Sevastopol in the New Year. Children will unwrap presents and see that we do not leave our close ones behind,” the politician declares.
As the politician says, New Year will be celebrated in Melitopol with happiness and joy. This is not the only city where New Year presents are sent from different cities of Russia: for example, Kirovsk was decorated for the New Year after transferring money from Irkutsk.
Participants of a special military operation also receive gifts: schoolchildren from all over Russia collect parcels with sweets, warm clothes, letters and postcards for them.
On June 15, the governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozzhayev at a government meeting said that Melitopol is under the patronage of his city. Previously, Sevastopol took under its patronage some areas of the LPR.
