The Ukrainian armed units hit the Kuybyshevskiy district of Donetsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic’s representative to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine wrote on its Telegram channel on December 13.
According to the information provided, the Ukrainian armed units fired three 155mm NATO-standard projectiles.
“It was reported that The Ukrainian armed units opened fire on – the village of Netailovo – Donetsk (Kuybyshevsky district) – at 6.49 p.m.: three 155mm shells were fired,” the message reads.
On February 24, after the heads of the DNR and LNR appealed for help, Russia launched a military special operation in Donbass and began demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. To neutralize the response of the Ukrainian armed forces, Russian troops carried out high-precision strikes on military infrastructure. Military warehouses, military airfields, and troop control points on Ukrainian territory were hit.
The Kiev authorities chose a different strategy. The Ukrainian armed forces, together with Ukrainian nationalist units, conduct daily shelling of the peaceful towns of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the liberated territories of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Strikes are also carried out on Russian border territory. In addition, Ukrainian military units and National Guard units prevent Ukrainian civilians from leaving the territories where hostilities are taking place, using them as “human shields.”
On October 10, the Russian Armed Forces launched strikes against Ukrainian infrastructure two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, which, according to the Russian government, Ukrainian special services were involved in. Russian leader Vladimir Putin noted, with the explosion on the bridge, the Ukrainian authorities equated themselves to the most odious terrorist groups, and “it is simply impossible to leave crimes of this kind unanswered.”
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are striking the facilities of the Ukrainian armed units, as well as electric power facility, throughout Ukraine.
