Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the statement of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, that Africans do not know where Russia is, is not true. He said this on December 9 at a press conference after the Eurasian Economic Union summit in Bishkek.
“In Africa, they know what Russia is and where Russia is. There is not a single country that has not received our support. We have very stable, friendly relations with African countries,” he said.
Putin also said that the EU policy towards African countries is characterized by goodwill only in words. European leaders are just talking about their love for Africa.
Earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready to donate to the poorest countries of Africa the fertilizers arrested in Europe. He said that 300 thousand tons of Russian fertilizers were blocked in Europe. The first ship carrying Russian fertilizers from the EU set out for Mozambique on November 29.
