The trade turnover between Russia and Iran exceeded $4 billion in 10 months of 2022, the deputy head of the Russian Federal Customs Service Vladimir Ivin said, the Izvestia newspaper reported on December 5.
According to him, exports increased by 27% and imports by 10%. Ivin noted that the main reason for the growth of trade turnover is the sanctions of Western countries against Russia. The first place in mutual supplies is occupied by food and agricultural products.
It should be noted that Iran ranks second among the Caspian littoral states after Kazakhstan in terms of trade turnover with Russia.
