The Ukrainian side suspended oil pumping through the Druzhba oil pipeline, Transneft spokesman Igor Demin said on November 15, RIA Novosti reported.
“The Ukrainian side has informed us that they have suspended pumping in the direction of Fenešlitka due to a voltage drop,” he said.
Hungarian oil and gas company MOL noted that it expects supplies to resume.
It is also noted that the reserves of oil in the strategic reserves of the country are enough to ensure the work of oil refineries before the resumption of supplies through the Druzhba pipeline.
The Hungarian media claim that the strategic oil reserves are sufficient for three months of operation of oil refineries.
The Hungarian Security Council was convened on the occasion of the suspension of the oil pipeline operation.
