Inertia of perception is what impedes the comprehension of the reality and the discussion of the withdrawal of the Russian army from Kherson, said philosopher, analyst and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on November 13 on the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov program on the Russia One channel.
“The inertia of the current perception, which was formed over a long time, the inertia of life, genre, style, agenda etc., persists when reality changes,” the analyst explained the reasons why only heroism and various successful events are still discussed at the official level instead of the withdrawal from Kherson in the context of this withdrawal.
“The questions is not how wonderful certain people are and how many of them we have. Of course, there are many of them, and of course we believe they are the best people in the world. But this does not mean that the entire current reality can do something,” the philosopher explained.
He noted that the contemporary Russian system is not prepared for the burden it has to take due to the confrontation between Russia and actually the entire West.
“The reality that was built cannot bear the current burden,” Sergey Kurginyan stressed.
He also noted that we failed to prepare in advance for the situation we currently have in Ukraine. The initial assessment of what forces would be necessary turned out to be inaccurate.
“If an expeditionary force was initially assembled, and then we began a partial mobilization, this means that there was confidence that the expeditionary force would be sufficient at the moment it was formed and sent to Ukraine. Otherwise, the mobilization would have been started without delay.
If after two weeks or one month it became clear that the expeditionary force was insufficient, the entire modern warfare training infrastructure would have been implemented right then not at certain places with wonderful people, but everywhere. Nationwide. But this was not done, we were not getting prepared to this. Indeed, these are obvious facts!” Sergey Kurginyan believes.
He explained that now we have to recognize the reality, to acknowledge the problems, and to start resolving them.
“Therefore, we should change our society, build our army, put forward a colossal effort to change Russia and all its components, and win through this work, because we must not lose!” he concluded.
