The road to victory in the special military operation in Ukraine will begin from the moment when the country’s leadership admits that the strategy of integration with the West was a mistake and now the country takes a different path, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on November 6 during the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on the Russia One channel.
Kurginyan is convinced that in order to overcome and win, Russian society and the composition of its elites must change. In particular, those in the military, who now defend and die for the Homeland. They should become a group with a highest social status.
And the country’s leadership must select and count on those people who can effectively command the troops, transform the domestic industry, science, the military-industrial complex; rather than those from the former elites, who can only carry out pro-Western reforms and import consumer goods to Russia.
Kurginyan is confident that “it must be a certain revolution from above; it starts from the moment when it is said: ‘We were wrong. We admit the tragic mistake we committed and we fixed it.”
We had already witnessed such a moment in our country’s history when the authorities realized that it was impossible to continue a certain way and went on another path, recalled the political scientist. This was reflected in discussions around the topic of whether it’s possible or not to build socialism in one single country. At first, it was assumed that the socialist revolution would take place in several countries, particularly in the most technologically advanced ones, such as Germany. However, this did not happen, so the country’s leadership, at the moment, had to reconsider its previous views and choose a different way – the path of building socialism in one single country.
Kurginyan is sure that “such a moment must now take place among those who once said: ‘We are a westernized country with a market economy and a strong state.”
“They have to understand that the formula which was wonderful at some point — no longer works; and they must draw conclusions of a great practical significance. And soon! Very soon!” stressed the expert.
