In 1990s, Russian society single-handedly destroyed its high-tech productive forces, which were built through the hard work of its ancestors, in order to insure the downfall of communism, said philosopher, political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on September 20 in a new issue of his original program Destiny published on the YouTube channel movement.
History knows very few cases when such highly developed productive forces are destroyed, for example, as a result of natural disasters or during military attacks by enemies, noted Kurginyan. However, in the history of humanity, there has never been such a conscious destruction of the production means by society itself, believes the political scientist.
“I’m ready to argue that the only case in world history when society itself destroyed its super-advanced productive forces which it developed through such a hard work, is called ‘post- Soviet radical market reforms’, think about it!,” said Sergey Kurginyan.
As a proof, Kurginyan cited an interview with Anatoly Chubais, recorded on an airplane in 2001. Chubais, an ideologue of market reforms who has held key positions in the state since 1991, claims that in the early 1990s the reformers were engaged in ”not solving the monetary issues, but they were destroying communism.” “And we knew that every privatized industrial entity was a nail in the coffin of communism. Expensive, cheap, free, with a surcharge – that’s the last question. Last!.. Until 1997, the process of privatization in Russia had nothing to do with economics at all. The main goal was – to stop communism,” explained the market reformer.
According to the political scientist, Chubais is a parody on pseudo-Stalinism with all the typical clichés: “You cannot make an omelette without breaking an egg”, “The end justifies the means” and the likes.
“It is possible to abolish communism without any regard for the costs involved. Half the population will die – who cares!? All means of production will disappear – who cares! The main objective is that communism is eliminated,” explains the expert.
Kurginyan explained how the destruction of the industries took place in the 1990s. High-tech sector was given to dumb gangsters for pennies or on loan, which depreciated with inflation. The new owner, not wanting to engage in production process, which was not immediately profitable, would closed it, lay off qualified employees, kicking them out to the streets, and reopened the site of a former enterprise as a brothel, a hotel, or a garage.
The philosopher believes that reformers like Chubais, their actions could be explained as both: “attempts to cover up the Western intelligence organizations’ involvement; as well as nearly psychiatric issues – lunacy.”
“And if this is lunacy, and if at some point it received public support, then what has happened with the society that supported such a lunacy? And you won’t get away from these questions. You need to understand what you have done and act accordingly if you want to remain human and use your mind for its intended purpose. You need to understanding that you had allowed these lunatics run you ragged,” concluded the leader of the Essence of Time movement.
