The Ukrainian army and foreign mercenaries are shooting civilians living in Velikiy Burluk and Kupyansk in order to then accuse the Russian armed forces of these crimes, the head of the military and civil administration of the Kharkov region Vitaliy Ganichev said on September 12 on the Russia 24 TV channel.
“Mercenaries drive around and shoot people and film their actions,” Ganichev noted. He explained that Ukranian army fighters and mercenaries are mopping up cities in order to blame Russia for the massacre of civilians.
Ganichev said that he learned this information from those who were able to leave the towns of Velikiy Burluk and Kupyansk. According to his estimates, about 5 thousand residents left the Kharkov region.
On September 10, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that it was decided to regroup Russian troops that are in the areas of Balakleya and Izyum in order to amass forces in the Donetsk direction to achieve the goals of the special operation. As a result, the front line in the Kharkov region was shifted to the Oskol River.
