The personnel of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian army refused to fulfill orders, and it began to withdraw from its combat positions near Zaytsevo of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Spokesman of the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov said on September 6.
According to Konashenkov, the Ukrainian troops are retreating from their positions due to heavy casualties and lack of reinforcement.
“Due to heavy casualties and lack of rotation, the personnel of the 53rd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian army operating near Zaytsevo of the Donetsk People’s Republic refuses to carry out military tasks, and it is leaving its combat positions,” he said.
