The EU’s intention to create a training base for the Ukrainian Armed Forces only demonstrates Europe’s support for Ukrainian fascism, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel on August 22.
This is how she reacted to the statement of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell that the EU will discuss a launch of a major training program for Ukrainian forces in one of the EU countries bordering Ukraine.
“We should call things by their proper names: the EU will create training bases to train terrorists and Nazi militants for the Kiev regime. A hundred years ago, Europeans also didn’t understand what fascism was. Then they realized it, but it was too late,” Zakharova wrote.
