The Ukrainian army officers left the area of combat operations near Soledar in the DPR. A representative of the LPR People’s Militia Andrei Marochko wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
“There is information that the Ukrainian army officers left their positions. The commanders shifted their duties to the sergeants and privates,” he wrote in his message.
On August 3, the LPR Interior Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces took positions close to the southeastern borders of Soledar.
On August 9, Interior Ministry spokesman Vitaly Kiselyov said that LPR forces had taken control of the territory of the Knauf-Gips factory in the southeast of Soledar.
