The special military operation in Ukraine and the long-term Donbass resistance to Kiev authorities and its Bandera [Nazi collaborator during WWII – translator’s note] supporters have global historic significance, said political scientist, the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan in the article How not to fall into the abyss, published in the Zavtra newspaper.
“Something more than the usual words of support have to be said” in regards to the Russian forces and people’s militia of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics participation in the special military operation, noted Kurginyan.
“The entire Donbass, including our army, should know that we honor their heroism, we are inspired by their heroic acts, we admire their resilience, and we are aware of its global historic significance,” writes Kurginyan.
The Russian Armed Forces and the allied forces of the republics of Donbass are fighting an enemy that outnumbers them two to one — about 350,000 soldiers on the side of the Russian Armed Forces, LPR and DPR are fighting against 700-800 thousand mobilized by Ukraine, noted the political scientist.
“Our troops are demonstrating courage, and they are advancing despite all obstacles … This is a heroic movement! Taking into account the specifics of this war, it is brilliant,” said the leader of Essence of Time.
