Péter Szijjártó, Hungarian Foreign Minister, supported the view of Laszlo Kever, the speaker of the Hungarian Parliament, that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has mental problems, when commented on his Facebook (organization banned in Russia) page on June 6.
He recalled that in Hungary, tens of thousands of people worked for several months to help Ukraine and its citizens. While at the same time, “Ukrainian politicians are constantly talking about Hungary in an unacceptable manner, provoking us, lying and trying to denigrate us,” wrote Szijjártó.
In addition, he stressed that representatives of Kiev’s regime did not express any gratitude for the assistance already provided by Hungary.
A similar opinion has previously expressed the speaker of the country’s parliament. Earlier, Kever suggested that Ukrainian political leadership is acting similarly to Zelensky as if having personal mental problems, particularly when he asks for help and actively threatens at the same time. These words provoked sharp criticism from Kiev representatives.
“Based on all this, Laszlo Kever is absolutely right, even though the Ukrainians are outraged,” said the minister.
The Ukrainian president expressed his displeasure with the fact that Hungary opposes the expansion of energy sanctions against Russia, and also refuses to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine, and does not supply its weapons.
Ukrainian official have also made other threats. In particular, a number of statements were made in the Ukrainian government regarding the Druzhba oil pipeline connecting Russia and Hungary which passes through the territory controlled by Kiev. According to Yelena Zerkal, an adviser to the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy, something could happen to it at any moment.
