Ukrainian army begins to retreat from Severodonetsk to Lisichansk

04.06.2022, Moscow.

Ukrainian army began retreating from Severodonetsk toward Lisichansk, director of the National Defense Management Center of Russia Mikhail Mizintsev said, the Russian Defense Ministry’s press service reported on June 3.

“Ukrainian army units, having suffered critical losses during the fighting for Severodonetsk, are retreating in the direction of Lisichansk,” Mizintsev said.

He said that Ukrainian forces were preparing a major man-made disaster at the Severodonetsk Azot plant involving the explosion of tanks with chemical substances, and that the Kiev regime was ready to blame Russia for the incident.

During a special operation, the Russian army and its allies from the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, without numerical superiority over Ukraine’s armed formations, liberated significant areas of the Zaporozhye, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson regions.

The operational encirclement of the group of Ukrainian troops near the towns of Severodonetsk, Seversk, Popasnaya and Bakhmut (Artemovsk) creates the prospect of a complete defeat of the group. The current situation makes the defeat of the group almost inevitable.

According to experts, the Ukrainian side will try to reverse the situation by committing a very large provocation, much larger than the provocation in Bucha.
