The Azovstal plant in Mariupol has been completely liberated from the Ukrainian military and nationalists. Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu informed Russian President Vladimir Putin about this on May 20, the ministry’s press service reported.
On May 16, the Ukrainian Nazis at the Azovstal plant agreed to lay down their weapons and surrender. Since that day, the militants began to surrender in groups of several hundred people. The captives were sent to Yelenovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Rostov-on-Don.
