The commander of the 36 Brigade of the Ukrainian army Marines Sergey Volynsky, callsign Volyna, left the territory of Azovstal to surrender, Russia One TV Channel correspondent Irina Kuksenkova reported on May 20.
“He looked almost fresh, have up his weapons, his belongings were inspected – in general, he went through the standard procedure before being loaded onto the bus,” Kuksenkova noted.
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said more than 1,900 Ukrainian military and nationalists from the Azovstal plant surrendered in Mariupol.
