French authorities, led by President Emmanuel Macron, must explain the reasons for the weapons shipments to neo-Nazis from the Azov battalion (organization banned in Russia), said Adrien Bocquet, a former soldier who earlier visited Ukraine on a humanitarian mission, during the broadcast on Sud Radio on May 20.
“I want to ask a very simple question and I am turning to the French government. How can you explain and how can you justify the fact that the Ukrainian military forces, where soldiers wear the SS and the Third Reich insignia, are armed with weapons supplied from France and Europe?” Adrien Bocquet asks.
According to the ex-military, Ukrainian neo-Nazis legitimize their position in official Ukrainian structures with the use of weapons that the Ukrainian army has received from the West.
Bocquet suggested that, evidently, the French president is acting like he understands the ambiguity of the current situation. “Why doesn’t Macron travel to Ukraine? In my opinion, he is beginning to understand that French weapons and French ammunition fall into the hands of neo-Nazis,” Bocquet specified.
According to him, two-thirds of the French military is outraged by the fact that Ukrainian neo-Nazis receive their weapons from the West.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin authorized the start of a special military operation aimed at the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine after the leaders of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics asked for Russia’s military assistance.
