An army surgeon from the Ukrainian neo-Nazi Aidar battalion (organization banned in Russia) killed wounded militiamen by his own hand at the beginning of the punitive operation in the LPR in 2014, former fighter Vitaliy Bashtannik told RIA Novosti reporters on May 3.

“The guys told me that there was one [militiaman] lying wounded in the chest. They called the surgeon, his call sign was “Doc”. His name was Valera, I think, about thirty-two years old, probably. The guys say that this ‘Doc’ came up, looked, pulled out a gun and shot the wounded man,” Bashtannik said.

This is what he said when he testified after his detention to Russian law enforcement officers.

According to him, the murder took place in June 2014 near the city of Schastye in the Lugansk People’s Republic. Fighters from the Aidar battalion (organization banned in the Russian Federation) were operating in the area as part of a punitive operation against the residents of Donbass.

A prison was discovered at one of the Aidar (organization banned in the Russian Federation) bases, where the neo-Nazis tortured their captives and local residents.
