The Russian Defense Ministry reported a successful launch of the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile on April 20.
The Sarmat missile was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome. At all stages of the flight, the rocket demonstrated its design characteristics. The training combat modules reached their destination in Kamchatka.
Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the army on the successful launch of the missile, which has no analogs in the world.
“The Sarmat missile complex will ensure Russia’s security, it will make those fervent people who try to threaten it think twice,” Putin said.
He stressed that domestic technologies are used in the creation of the missile, which will allow uninterrupted serial production of the Sarmat, regardless of the international situation.
