Kurginyan: Major political forces in Europe oppose Russia

23.03.2022, Moscow.

In Europe, Russia receives some support from underground forces, while major political forces in Europe are under US control, and they oppose Russia, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on March 21 on The Great Game program on Channel One.

Kurginyan noted that, of course, Russia wants a peaceful co-existence with everyone. The problem is, however, that “large, massive strata of this Europe are under US control, and they are aimed against us.” This leaves a “really tiny strata” of the right-wing political underground, which, according to the political scientist, are divided in their attitude to Russia.

“One part simply goes to fight on Ukraine’s side, this is the extreme far-right part, and the other, in contrast, is ready to support Russia,” Kurginyan explained.

Of course, a dialogue is needed with those who support Russia, but we should be aware of what kind of forces these are, the political scientist noted.

“But we must understand that this is the underground, and not all of it, and it is unpredictable regarding its further development. It can refer to a sort of Russophobia, or it can finally unite with Russia. The part that will unite is really priceless,” Kurginyan stressed.

Kurginyan pointed out a seriously raised funding of the German army, which will receive €100 billion for rearmament to make it the number three army in the world. If such an army is built, this will have not just military and technical, but also political consequences, the political scientist believes.

“They (Germany ― Rossa Primavera News Agency) will build number the three army in the world. Will the number three army in the world be a military-technical giant but a political dwarf? Does it happen that way?” the political scientist concluded.

Therefore, we should not count on any political division in Europe today, Kurginyan believes.

“In this context, although we can count on pro-Russian underground European forces, even if we do not know how reliable they are, we must not ignore the fact that these forces are underground. Maybe the European cauldron will eventually boil, and something else will emerge,” Kurginyan concluded.
