Russian values have diverged from Western values because a post-Christian, post-capitalist civilization has prevailed in the West. This is what philosopher, political scientist, and leader of the Essence of Time movement, Sergey Kurginyan, stated in The Great Game program on Channel One on March 18.
Earlier, the host of the program Vyacheslav Nikonov, noted that values that unite the peoples of Russia and all religious confessions of our country disunite us with the West, because the values of Nazism turned out to be very profound there.
We need to see that there are different Wests, the West of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and the modern West, which is guided by Nietzsche’s ultimate metaphysics – the will to power and the desire for domination at any cost, Kurginyan pointed out.
“They think in terms of the power that master possesses over a slave,” he stressed.
In his opinion, in the West “we see a civilization of death,” which is best expressed by the image of pregnant death. The philosopher recalled that Karl Marx predicted the spiritual death of capitalism, which, according to Kurginyan, we are already observing in the form of a “post-Christian, post-capitalist civilization” or “mutacapitalism” – a capitalism that has mutated and destroyed all the foundations on which it stood: family, private property and state.
By robbing the Russian oligarchs, the US has shown that it is a country of pirates, and they consider it a noble occupation, “power and force are paramount,” since it is the power of the strongest that counts, the political scientist noted. Classical capitalism wouldn’t care whose property it was, for private property is sacred.
The philosopher noted that the monster from the West began to emerge gradually once the Soviet Union collapsed.
“It was not so obvious, because it was necessary to tell its population – we (the West) are good, it was necessary to tell the Soviet population that we (the West) have above everything – the law, and then began this “deshabille”, this nakedness, this ecstasy – they almost went mad,” Kurginyan noted.
