Russian Defense Ministry announces the elimination of another nationalist battalion in Ukraine

The Nazi Donbass battalion (organization banned in Russia) has been almost finally eliminated by the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said at a briefing on March 20.

“Units of the Russian armed forces are completing the elimination of the Donbass nationalist battalion (organization banned in Russia),” Konashenkov said.

Konashenkov said that Russian army units advanced 12 kilometers during the day, reached Nikolskoye and, in cooperation with DPR units, blocked from three sides the village of Sladkoye, where the main forces of the Nazis were located.

During the operation up to 60 militants, two tanks, three BMPs, six artillery guns and mortars were destroyed. The battle is currently underway with the remnants of the militants and units of the 54th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army for the villages of Sladkoye, Novoukrainka and Shakhterskoye.

A group of DPR troops is pursuing retreating units of the 53rd Ukrainian Mechanized Brigade in the direction of the Novomikhaylovka village. The Ukrainian armed forces lost 20 personnel, a tank, a BMP and three off-road vehicles.

The DPR units also engaged in combat with the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian army. Combat for the villages of Kamenka and Novoselovka II is underway.
