Morales: European countries "tell lie" about Ukraine and silence those who are not agree with their official position

10.03.2022, Moscow.

EU countries strictly censor their media concerning the events in Ukraine, while the enlargement of NATO to the east has provoked the Russian-Ukrainian escalation, said former Bolivian President Evo Morales, RIA Novosti reports on March 10.

According to Morales, such a policy of European countries shows their “double morality.” On the one hand, these countries ensure total censorship. On the other hand, they declare the democratic values of the open world and freedom of speech.

“The media representing imperialism tell any lie, trying to push countries against each other, but the media that tell the truth are censored and silenced,” Morales said.

On March 2, the EU banned the broadcasting and content of Russia Today and Sputnik.

Russia’s special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine began on February 24 according to the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Putin called for the prosecution of all war criminals who have been committing the genocide of Donbass’ residents.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Russian Army gained air supremacy over Ukraine, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine and its nationalistic units have settled in residential areas with a view to use the civilian population as a human shield. Russia has been relying on precision-guided weapons in order to exclude harm to civilians.
