USA has no right to teach China – Beijing on Russian Military Operation in Donbass

The USA has no right to teach China how to respect others’ sovereignty and territorial integrity, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at briefing on Washington’s criticism of Beijing’s neutral position on the situation in Ukraine and Donbass on February 24.

“We have paid attention to the relevant statements of the State Department representative, first of all I believe that with regard to how to respect state sovereignty and territorial integrity, the US, perhaps, has no right to tell China what to do,” she said.

Hua Chunying said that the Chinese people understand very well what state sovereignty and territorial integrity are.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman recalled that the United States justified its military intervention by calling it protection of “democracy,” protection of “human rights,” and sometimes even fabricated disinformation.

“Undoubtedly, this country’s understanding of respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity is different from ours,” she stressed.

Earlier, State Department spokesman Ned Price said that China should respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity and urge Russia to make concessions.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a military operation in Donbass. This decision was made after the DPR and LPR asked for help from Russia.
