The most important aspects of the Soviet project are “Man” and his “transformation,” believes philosopher, political analyst, and leader of The Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan, as he stated on December 22 in his program The Meaning of the Game.
According to Kurginan, no matter how many “significant deformations” and “mysteries” there were in the Soviet project, “it was beautiful, and focused on the future“. Kurginyan stressed that in all Soviet years, it was not the country’s elite and its actions that were important, but “something completely different“.
The expert explained that by this “completely different” he means the concept of Man. And the concept of Man is extremely closely connected to the concept of transformation,” he explained.
The expert stressed that his particular attitude toward communism, Marxism and the collapse of the Soviet Union is decisively related to communism’s attitude toward the subject of Man. He noted that he shares “the admiration of many and many people for the greatness of the classical … simple Soviet project, which … includes victory in the War, the might of the superpower and all the rest“.
Kurginyan believes that the Soviet project “gave a million points ahead to what is happening now“. At the same time, he stressed that the advantages of the Soviet times are visible if “we do not take as criteria the enrichment of certain tight groups and the orgy of consumption and debauchery, and all the rest.” “If you take it as something positive then of course advantages are invisible. But not many people take it as something positive,” he notes.
