The military exercise “Sibu/Interaction-2021” of Russia and China opened at the Qingtongxia training ground of the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLAC), REGNUM news agency reported on August 10 citing the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
According to the report, Russian and Chinese military marches and songs were played during the parade. During the ceremony, the People’s Liberation Army Air Force flew over the parade.
The purpose of the exercise was to practice anti-terrorist maneuvers. Russia sent motorized rifle units, SU-30SM aircraft and command and control officers for the exercise. More than 10 thousand people will take part in maneuvers.
It is noted that Russian-Chinese exercises have been held since 2005, such as multilateral exercises “Peace Mission,” naval exercises “Maritime Cooperation,” staff exercises and others.
