Kurginyan: Ukraine will start a war despite common sense

15.03.2021, Aleksandrovskoye.

Ukraine is capable of acting contrary to reasonable considerations and can escalate the war in Donbass, while itself being in a chaotic and unmanageable state, political scientist, crisis analyst and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on March 10 in the program Topic on the Donetsk Union TV channel.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is focused on military escalation in Donbass. And this is despite the fact that the United States has not yet brought the Ukrainian army to at least a more or less proper condition, if this is even possible, the political scientist notes.

He adds that because of the conflicts between different elite groups, the Ukrainian internal political government is a total chaos.

Against this background, Ukraine is failing recruitment, it can’t fully govern anything, it is weak – is it indeed ready to leap forward?” asks Kurginyan.

And he answers, “If we rely on a reasonable approach, we can come to the conclusion that Ukraine needs to have sufficient strength to aggravate the situation in Donbass. However, weakness can provoke the Ukrainian authorities to undertake irrational hysterical reaction.”

The weaker they are, the more likely it is that in hysteria they will grab the vase standing on the cabinet and launch it at someone’s head. What happens then? It doesn’t matter what happens. They’ve lost their nerves,” Kurginyan characterizes the situation.
