Ukrainian army’s units shelled villages in southern Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCCC) stated on December 25.

There is information that the Ukrainian army used mortars and grenade launchers. The attack took place in the morning of December 25. The enemy fired eight 120mm mortar shells.

According to the JCCC representative, the enemy opened fire on the directions of Novaya Tavriya, Kominternovo and Vodyanoye. It should be noted that Vodyanoye is under Kiev’s control.

Since July 27, additional ceasefire requirements have been in effect in the DPR and LPR. In particular, it is forbidden to deploy military equipment and weapons in and near the villages and towns, to conduct offensive and reconnaissance operations, including reconnaissance and sabotage operations, and to use drones near the contact line.

It is forbidden to open fire and conduct the engineering works. The measures imply disciplinary responsibility for violations and should remain in effect until the conflict is fully resolved.
