Kurginyan: Western media talk too much about war with Russia and China

22.12.2020, Moscow.

Authoritative Western media outlets have recently begun to talk too much about war with Russia and China, said political scientist and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on December 20 on the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on the Russia One TV channel.

“Look at this week’s headlines, these are incessant Western headlines, ‘How we will wage war against Russia and China,’ ‘How exactly will we deliver a nuclear strike,’ ‘What is the balance of naval and air forces,’ what is the relation of military forces and the like… If you multiply the newspapers’ authority index by the number of statements, you get an incredible number!” Kurginyan stressed.

Kurginyan noted that during the past eight to ten years, the information waves generated by the mass media have not always been reflected in real-world events, but he pointed to the undeniable existence of this information cloud.

“This ‘cloud’ may not pour out any real events, but it is there! Itcertainlyexists,” Kurginyan concluded.

On December 18, the Associated Press (AP) reported that the USA was closing its remaining general consulates in Russia – in Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok.

The Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START III) between the United States and Russia will expire in February 2021. US officials have not yet announced their intention to extend the treaty.
