Turkish army shells a village in Syrian Aleppo province

The Turkish army attacked the village of Maraanaz in northern Aleppo using artillery on September 17, a Rossa Primavera News Agency’s source informs.

“Turkish artillery opened fire on the village of Maranaz in northern Aleppo province,” the source said. There is no information regarding the forces, which were attacked in Maranaz.

Syrian Kurds traditionally lived in this region. They were driven from their lands by Turkish troops during four military operations in northern Syria.

In response to Turkey’s hostile actions, the Kurds launched guerrilla war in the region.
