Former Moldavian Vice-Prime Minister: Belarus is in trouble if Lukashenko is overthrown

14.08.2020, Chișinău.

Belarus will face many years of trouble and instability if President Aleksandr Lukashenko is forced to leave, former Moldavian Vice-Prime Minister Aleksandr Muravsky wrote on August 13 on his Facebook page.

“I am sure that if he is overthrown, and if blatant liberal ‘democrats’ come to power, this will lead Belarus to many years of instability and trouble,” Aleksandr Muravsky wrote.

Muravsky believes that even if Lukashenko should transfer power, this should take place evolutionally and to a stronger leader, without losing the economic achievements of the Republic.

“Belarus is another country on the list of ‘democratic’ changes. Will Lukashenko stand it? I hope he will. And I hope he will be able to peacefully transfer power to stronger but more democratic leaders,” the former Moldavian Vice-Prime Minister Aleksandr Muravsky wrote on his page.

Protest actions began on August 9 in Belarus after the presidential elections. According to the Belarus Central Elections Commission, the current leader Aleksandr Lukashenko won.
