Terrorist Tauqir Sharif, known as Abu Husam al-Britani, was arrested by representatives of the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham group (organization banned in Russia) on August 11, reports a Rossa Primavera News Agency source in Syria.
The arrest took place near the township of Atma in the part of Idlib province occupied by militants. Details of the operation are not reported.
The militant worked in the sphere of so-called “humanitarian operations” of Tahrir al-Sham (organization banned in Russia). He was arrested in June 2020 and then released a month later.
A ceasefire has been in effect in the Idlib de-escalation zone since March 6. The militants are using the ceasefire to sort things out between each other, to divide the territory and foreign funding.
