Donald Trump’s re-election does not benefit the US political elites; therefore, they are stimulating the protests in the US, said the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist Sergey Kurginyan on June 7 on the air of the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on the Russia One channel.
“I believe that the bell tolls for Trump, and not only for him. This entire production is organized precisely because President Trump turned out to be terribly harmful to the interests of the US political elites,” said Kurginyan.
Trump turned out to be a “stranger” even to a conservative elite groups, which would prefer the Bush dynasty, added the political scientist: “Of course, he is a billionaire and everything else; but nonetheless, he is not one of them. And nobody wants to tolerate him for another term. ”
The US president finds himself “fighting in a clinch with both conservatives and democrats.” He is criticized not only by Barack Obama and the Democrats, but George W. Bush and those behind him in the conservative wing who already refuse to support the incumbent. And even his own secretary of defense says he will not send troops to quell protests.
“Do you know what actually brought Joseph Stalin down? The fact that he could not push through the so-called Doctor’s Plot investigation [a 1951-1953 investigation of a group of predominantly Jewish doctors from Moscow were accused of conspiracy to assassinate Soviet leaders – translator’s note]. When the security officials refused to follow his orders, it became clear that it was the end. Whether or not he was killed is a separate question. But that’s how it started,” emphasized Kurginyan.
On June 6, former US President George W. Bush said that he would not vote for Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential elections.
