26.05.2020, Donetsk.

A number of energy infrastructure facilities in Donetsk have been destroyed by shelling from the Ukrainian armed groups, the press service of the Ministry of Coal and Energy of the Donetsk People’s Republic reports.

The shelling in the evening of May 27 damaged a pole of a high-voltage power line, cutting off 7 electrical substations that supply power to 750 private households in the Trudovskiye settlement. In one hour and a half electric power supply was repaired at 5 substations and 550 households.

However, the Ukrainian military resumed the shelling of this area, preventing further repair works. Reportedly, these works can only resume after security guarantees are received from the Ukrainian side. A respective request has been filed to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
