Censorship prohibiting discussions on the artificial origin of the coronavirus is imposed not only in Russia, said the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist Sergey Kurginyan in his original program “The Meaning of the Game” on May 20.
Kurginyan cited several articles from the most authoritative scientific journals Nature and Nature Medicine, in which scientists discuss experiments studying the chimeric (i.e., a hybrid, artificially created) virus SHC014-CoV, similar to the virus that caused SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) in 2003.
The analyst stressed that the team of scientists who were running these experiments represents well-known and very serious scientific institutions, some of which are closely linked with the special services.
The articles were published in 2015 and 2013, the political scientist stressed. In recent years, the content of these articles has been discussed in terms of whether experiments like these are permissible, but the mere possibility of being able to build viruses artificially has never been questioned.
And only in March 2020, a small Editors’ note appeared on the journal’s website before these articles, “We are aware that this story is being used as the basis for unverified theories that the novel coronavirus causing COVID-19 was engineered. There is no evidence that this is true; scientists believe that an animal is the most likely source of the coronavirus.”
According to Kurginyan, this postscript is “evidently dictated by some kind of censorship, which requires that no one even discuss the artificial origin of COVID-19”.
The analyst stressed that “the center of this censorship is not in Russia.” And then, Kurginyan added, a very serious question immediately arises, “How does this center transmit its will into Russia?”
