Water treatment plant and power lines in Gorlovka in Donetsk People’s Republic were damaged as a result of shelling conducted by Ukrainian armed forces, the Donetsk News Agency (DAN) reported on May 14.
“Infrastructure facilities of “Water of Donbass” Company were damaged during the morning shelling of Panteleimonovka water treatment plant using heavy weaponry; Makeyevka-Gorlovka 110 kV power line was cut off power as a result of the shelling. There were destructions in the Red Partizan area,” DAN quotes Gorlovka Mayor Ivan Prikhodko.
DAN representatives from the Joint Centre for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCC) are working at the site of shelling.
In the morning of May 14, the Ukrainian military fired 120 mm mortar shells on Zaitsevo and Panteleimonovka settlements. 20 shells were fired. As a result of the shelling, fire broke out in two houses on Esenin Street in Zaitsevo.
According to the JCCC information, during the past day, the Ukrainian army violated ceasefire 13 times, the total number of ammunition fired on the territory of the republic was 233 units.
