The novel coronavirus pandemic has opened all sorts of opportunities for the escalation of the competition between China and the USA, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on May 3 on the air of the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program.
China and the USA are exchanging accusations over the pandemic.
The USA accuses China of spreading the coronavirus. Kurginyan reminded calls inside the USA to claim the damages from China, “$2 trillion, $5 trillion, which is exactly the amount in the treasuries (China’s investments in the US treasuries ― Rossa Primavera News Agency).”
China’s response is informational. In particular, it reminded the USA of a statement by the director of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Colonel Robert Redfield, who said that the coronavirus appeared in the USA earlier, and of the Congress investigation of the Fort Detrick situation.
“Whether this was initially planned or not (the opportunities for mutual accusations that the pandemic opened ― Rossa Primavera News Agency), this is a struggle between the USA and China,” the political scientist said.
