Russian representative to OSCE: Ukraine undermines Donbass resolution process

10.03.2020, Moscow.

The Ukrainian side undermines the decisions of the Normandy Four (Russia, Germany, France, Ukraine) Paris summit on Donbass crisis resolution, the Permanent Representative of Russia to the OSCE Aleksandr Lukashevich said on March 10 during a video conference organized by the Russia Today international news agency.

“What the Ukrainian side has been doing over the recent years is direct sabotage, including against the latest decisions of the Paris summit,” Lukashevich said.

He noted that the Russian Federation regularly attempts to initiate a serious discussion of the problems that arose during the implementation of the package of measures approved by the UN Security Council.

Lukashevich stressed that the Ukrainian negotiators are also responsible for the lack of progress of the contact group on separation of forces along the contact line.

The permanent representative pointed out that the separation must take place before the end of March, and the OSCE mission must verify it.

“Now it is the middle of March, but no progress has been made so far,” Lukashevich concluded.

Previously, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Sergey Kislitsa said at the UN Security Council session that Ukraine was doing everything it could to arrange the Normandy Four meeting in Berlin in April.

On February 15, the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky said that the Ukrainian authorities were not ready to have talks with the LPR and the DPR on peaceful resolution in Donbass.
