The power structure must be urgently rearranged in accordance with the new era of the collapse of hopes relating to Russia merging with Europe, the leader of the Essence of Time movement and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan said on the air of the Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program on the Russia One channel on February 25.
“Russia in the form of the Russian Federation existed in order to merge with ‘the international community.’ This is what it was designed for. To this end, a certain elite, the KGB elite, disposed of Central Asia; it disposed of the Caucasus, and it wanted to bring it all there. The last apotheosis of this hope was Putin’s phone call to Bush on 9/11. This was the last hope. Where is this hope now, people? Does anyone believe in this integration today? Do the Russians want to join the world of transgenders? Does this world want to accept Russia?” the political scientist asked.
According to Kurginyan, Russia is experiencing a fundamentally new phase, and nothing has been done to politically shape this phase. Amendments to the Constitution make no difference in this sense, because the state will be wiped out together with its Constitution with the very first shock of instability.
“The Russian people are a great state-minded people. They created the strongest state. They are great gatherers. Twice in the 20th century they destroyed this state. Twice! Because they stopped loving it. They just stopped loving, and that is it. As long as they love the state, they gather it. When they no longer do so, we have what we have,” the political scientist warned.
According to Kurginyan, the political situation “will evolve spontaneously and through great threats.” Moreover, big difficulties will emerge as soon as at the Duma elections.
“And we must really hurry up building a structure that would actually ensure the transition of power,” the political scientist urged. “We can do it in 5 to 7 years, if we want to, but no one has expressed the desire so far. And we are in a very dangerous situation.”
Previously, Kurginyan referred to the example of China, which has a closed structure called the order of the “Red Dragon” inside the Communist Party. This structure is responsible for the successive transition of power without relentless political struggle, which always took place during the transition of power between the leaders of both Soviet and post-Soviet Russia.
